Friends Lab is an artist-run Super 8 and 16mm film lab located in Byron Bay, dedicated to preserving and advancing analog filmmaking. Serving as both a creative workspace and educational hub, the lab offers facilities for every stage of the analog process, from shooting and hand-processing to editing and projection. The lab offers a wet and dry room, and a collection of cameras and projectors.
Beyond its technical offerings, Friends Lab functions as a cultural space, hosting screenings, workshops, artist talks and community events.
